Madagascar Rainbow (Bedotia madagascarensis)

The Madagascar Rainbow (Bedotia madagascarensis) is a relatively uncommon species to find in the freshwater aquarium trade. In the wild, these fish are only found in freshwater streams of Eastern Madagascar. They prefer clean and soft water, and plenty of vegetation to explore and hide in. Growing up to 3.5 inches, Madagascar Rainbows have beautiful shimmering bodies and colorful fins. They prefer to live in large groups (in dozens in the wild) and are peaceful fish, making them a desirable addition to your freshwater tank and a perfect choice for many community tanks.
