Description Avalon Avoral Shampoo 100ml contains ketoconazole, an antifungal medication used to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, as well as other fungal skin infections. Uses: Treatment of dandruff (pityriasis capitis). Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. Treatment of tinea versicolor (a fungal skin infection). Dosage and Administration: For dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis: Apply Avalon Avoral Shampoo to the wet scalp and lather. Leave the shampoo on the scalp for 3-5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Use twice weekly for 2-4 weeks, then once every 1-2 weeks for maintenance, or as directed by your doctor. For tinea versicolor: Apply the shampoo to the affected moist skin areas and lather. Leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Use once daily for up to 5 days. Warnings: Do not use if you are allergic to ketoconazole or any of the other ingredients. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Inform your doctor if you are using a topical corticosteroid cream or lotion on your scalp. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before use. This medication is for external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Possible Side Effects: Skin irritation. Itching. Redness. Dryness or oiliness of the scalp. Hair loss (rare). Changes in hair texture (rare). Ingredients: Ketoconazole, and other inactive ingredients. Note: If you are using a topical corticosteroid, you may need to gradually reduce the dosage or stop using it completely while using Avoral Shampoo to prevent rebound effects. Contact your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens, or if you experience severe irritation or other adverse reactions.
