Description Humulin 70/30 Vial is a premixed human insulin containing 70% human insulin isophane suspension (NPH, intermediate-acting) and 30% human insulin injection (regular, short-acting). It is used to help control blood sugar in people with diabetes mellitus. This combination provides both a rapid initial effect from the regular insulin and a longer-lasting effect from the NPH insulin, helping to manage blood glucose levels throughout the day. Humulin 70/30 is typically administered subcutaneously and is usually injected 30 to 45 minutes before a meal. The proportions of intermediate-acting and short-acting insulin are fixed in this formulation, making it a convenient option for individuals who require a combination of these insulin types and prefer a premixed product. Humulin 70/30 Vial is indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control in: Adults and children with type 1 diabetes. Adults with type 2 diabetes who require insulin for the control of high blood sugar. Directions for use: Humulin 70/30 should be administered subcutaneously as directed by your healthcare provider. The dose and timing of your insulin injections will depend on your individual needs, blood glucose monitoring results, diet, and physical activity. Inject Humulin 70/30 into the abdomen, thigh, upper arm, or buttocks. Rotate injection sites within the same region to help prevent skin thickening or pitting. Before each injection, gently roll the vial between your palms and invert it several times to mix the insulin suspension evenly until it appears uniformly cloudy and white. Do not use if it looks clear or contains clumps. Use a sterile syringe and needle to withdraw the correct dose. Follow proper injection techniques and dispose of used needles and syringes safely in a sharps container. Important Information: Humulin 70/30 is a prescription medication. Always follow your doctor’s instructions and the information provided with the product. Never share your insulin vials, syringes, or needles with others.
