Description Climen 21Tab is a sequential hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication designed to relieve symptoms associated with menopause. Each pack contains 21 tablets divided into two phases to mimic the natural hormonal cycle. The first 11 tablets typically contain estrogen (estradiol valerate), which helps to alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and sleep disturbances that occur due to declining estrogen levels during menopause. The subsequent 10 tablets contain a combination of estrogen (estradiol valerate) and a progestogen (cyproterone acetate). The progestogen is included to protect the lining of the uterus (endometrium) from thickening excessively, which can be a risk when estrogen is used alone in women who still have a uterus. Climen is taken in a cyclical manner, with a break after each 21-day course, which usually results in a withdrawal bleed similar to a menstrual period. The specific dosage and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and health status. Sequential Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): Mimics the natural hormonal cycle. Contains Estrogen and Progestogen: Provides relief from menopausal symptoms and protects the uterus. Relieves Menopausal Symptoms: Helps with hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. Protects the Uterine Lining: Progestogen reduces the risk of endometrial hyperplasia. 21 Tablets per Pack: Provides a 21-day course of treatment. Cyclical Dosing: Taken with a break, usually leading to a withdrawal bleed. Prescription Medication: Requires a doctor’s prescription and regular monitoring. Directions for Use: Take one Climen tablet daily for 21 consecutive days, starting with the tablets marked for the first phase (estrogen only) and then continuing with the tablets for the second phase (estrogen and progestogen). Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water, preferably at the same time each day. After completing the 21 tablets, take a 7-day break before starting the next pack. During this break, you will usually experience a withdrawal bleed. Start the next 21-day course on the 8th day, even if the bleeding has not stopped. Precautions: Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Inform your doctor about your complete medical history, including any history of blood clots, heart disease, stroke, breast cancer, uterine cancer, liver disease, or high blood pressure. Tell your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements, as some medications can interact with HRT. Regular medical check-ups, including breast exams and mammograms, are important while taking HRT. Be aware of the potential risks associated with HRT, which may include an increased risk of blood clots, stroke, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. Your doctor will discuss these risks with you before prescribing Climen. Report any unusual symptoms to your doctor immediately, such as new breast lumps, unusual vaginal bleeding, severe headaches, vision changes, or pain in your legs or chest. Climen is not a contraceptive and will not prevent pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about taking Climen. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature in a dry place.
