Description Regulon 21Tab is a combined oral contraceptive pill (COCP) used to prevent pregnancy. It contains two types of female hormones, ethinylestradiol (an estrogen) and desogestrel (a progestogen). Regulon works by preventing ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary), thickening the cervical mucus (making it difficult for sperm to reach an egg), and altering the lining of the uterus (making it less receptive to a fertilized egg). When taken correctly, it is a highly effective method of contraception. Prevents Pregnancy: Highly effective combined oral contraceptive pill. Contains Ethinylestradiol and Desogestrel: Two types of female hormones. Prevents Ovulation: Stops the release of an egg from the ovary. Thickens Cervical Mucus: Makes it difficult for sperm to reach an egg. Alters Uterine Lining: Reduces receptivity to a fertilized egg. 21 Tablet Pack: Provides a three-week supply with a seven-day break. Directions for Use: Take one tablet daily for 21 days, at the same time each day. After finishing the 21 tablets, take a 7-day break. During this break, you will usually have a withdrawal bleed similar to a period. Start the next pack on the 8th day, even if your bleed has not finished. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Precautions: Consult a doctor before use, especially if you have a history of blood clots, heart disease, migraine with aura, or certain types of cancer. Smoking increases the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects, especially in women over 35. May cause side effects such as nausea, headaches, and mood changes. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Regular check-ups are recommended. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.
